Arrhis compared with Acquire.com
Acquire.com is one of the largest marketplaces for buying and selling startups. Sellers list, vetted buyers browse and make offers, and the platform provides NDAs, legal documents and escrow to close. It is built to find you a buyer. Arrhis is not a marketplace: it is the private room you send a buyer to once you are talking, wherever you found them.
The short version
Acquire.com helps you find a buyer and close. Arrhis is where each serious buyer signs your NDA and checks your Stripe, bank and traffic numbers at their own stage, while you see what they read. You can use both.
Side by side
| Arrhis | Acquire.com | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A private deal room for one sale, one link per buyer. | A marketplace: public listings, a buyer network, messaging, offers, legal documents and escrow. |
| Finding buyers | Arrhis does not find buyers for you. They come from anywhere: a marketplace listing, Twitter DMs, email, a broker. Send each one their own link; tire-kickers stop at the NDA instead of taking a call. | Its main job. Listings reach its buyer network, with marketing and matching to vetted buyers. |
| Who sees your numbers | Private by default. Anyone with a link sees only the teaser you write; numbers and files stay behind that buyer's signed NDA. Nothing is listed or indexed. | Buyers see your listing, and more after they accept its NDA. What you share beyond the listing is up to you. |
| Where numbers come from | Read-only connections to Stripe, Mercury and Google Analytics, plus files you upload. Every number is labelled with its source: From Stripe, From Mercury, From Google Analytics, or Uploaded by seller. | Synced metrics integrations keep listing figures current, alongside what the seller adds. |
| Staged disclosure | Per buyer: 1 teaser, 2 NDA signed, 3 LOI signed. Customer names and bank statements stay locked until you mark the buyer LOI signed. | Listing, then details after the NDA. Deeper diligence is shared as the parties agree. |
| Payout reconciliation | Stripe payouts matched to bank deposits by exact amount within three days. Unmatched items are listed with your explanation. | Not described as a feature on its public pages. |
| Buyer activity | Per buyer: which sections and files they opened, and for how long. | You see who contacts you and makes offers. |
| Fee model | One payment per sale, paid by the seller. No share of the sale price. Buyers never pay. | A monthly listing fee plus a percentage of the sale price at closing, with a free buyer tier and paid buyer memberships. See Acquire.com for current rates. |
What Acquire.com does well
- Reach. A large pool of buyers who are actively looking, which Arrhis does not have.
- Buyer vetting, including checks that buyers have funds.
- Closing in one place: LOIs, purchase agreements and escrow.
- Advisory help for larger, profitable companies.
When Acquire.com is the better choice
- You have no buyers yet and need a marketplace to find them.
- You want listing, negotiation and closing documents handled on one platform.
- If you met a buyer through a marketplace, that marketplace's terms and closing fee still apply to the deal. Arrhis only changes where the buyer reads your numbers.
Where Arrhis is different
- Numbers come from the source, and say so
- Sellers connect Stripe with a read-only restricted key, Mercury with a read-only token, and Google Analytics with read-only access. Revenue, payouts, deposits and traffic are pulled from those systems, and every figure is labelled From Stripe, From Mercury, From Google Analytics, or Uploaded by seller. Buyers can tell evidence from claims at a glance.
- Disclosure follows the deal
- Each buyer moves through three stages: the teaser, then everything covered by the NDA once they sign it, then customer names and bank statements once you mark their LOI signed. You never have to rebuild folders or permissions to keep a new buyer away from sensitive data.
- One NDA per buyer, signed in the page
- The buyer verifies their email and signs before seeing anything past the teaser. You get a record of who signed, when, and exactly what they looked at afterwards.
- Payouts reconciled with deposits
- Stripe payouts are matched to bank deposits by exact amount within three days. Unmatched items are listed with your explanation, which answers one of the first questions a careful buyer asks.
A room pass is a one-time purchase per sale, priced by asking price, with no auto-renewal. See pricing.
